1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TinyTunes mobile application (“the App”).

By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Privacy practices are described separately in the Privacy Policy.

2. What TinyTunes is

TinyTunes is a local-first music / audio player. You can:

The App does not operate a TinyTunes cloud account or TinyTunes server that stores your music library or listening history.

3. Optional Google Drive access

Google Sign-In and Drive are optional. Local playback works without a Google account.

If you connect Google Drive, the App requests read-only Drive access (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly) to:

  1. Authenticate you
  2. List folders and files you browse
  3. Download selected audio into the App’s local cache for playback

The App does not create, modify, rename, or delete files on Google Drive.

Your use of Google Sign-In and Google Drive is also subject to Google’s own terms and policies. You can disconnect at any time by signing out in the App and/or revoking TinyTunes in your Google Account permissions.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Do not use the App to access content you are not allowed to use.

5. No warranty

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

There is no guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device or OS version.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mario Angerer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example mandatory consumer rights where they apply).

7. Source code license (separate)

The TinyTunes source code is available under the MIT License. That license covers copying, modifying, and redistributing the code.

These Terms cover use of the App as distributed (including Google OAuth branding and user-facing product rules). They do not replace or relicense the MIT License for the source code.

Forks and third-party builds that use their own Google Cloud OAuth clients are separate products and are not covered by the maintainer’s OAuth verification.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms when the App or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change accordingly. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, except where mandatory law requires a different process.
